I went to my local dealer and did the "Test drive and receive a $100 gift card". Will post a review once I can get a minute to sit down.

Yep. They didn't have the Performance trim, with a manual, but I'll explain when I post pictures.

It was worth it. I was pretty out front about it, I told him there's no way I can afford a new car right now, but I told him about Oppo and mentioned I'd post a review.

I'm in the same situation, there is no Damn way that I could afford anything on the Cadillac lot. Possibly an Ats, but that would be pushing it.

I might try and mention Oppo and a review though.

It didn't really take the review to let me drive it. It's their job to let people drive them. A good dealership will let people drive cars that are out of the price range, because even if that particular person can't or won't buy one, there's a good chance that person will talk to other people about their experience, and you never know... It could send other people into the dealership because of that one person's experience.

Yeah, it's their job. I've come across some real assholes at my local Porsche dealer though. I wanted to test drive a Stripper Boxster, it took over an hour to get "The paperwork in order."

I just did this too. I didn't like the model they gave me at all. It was the smallest ATS model. My dealership is being a PITA about the gift card. Hope your experience is better than mine.

Did they hassle you about the gift card? Or were they pretty cool about. My wife and I are wanting to go do this.

That and the $50 Ford and $25 Kia test drives we still have to do.

No. He was polite and didn't have any problems, other than the website they use to set up the gift card was acting up for them. Still, it worked out in the end with no fuss.
